PACK TRIPS & DROP CAMPS
If you have a destination in mind, a favorite spot, or want us to take you to one of ours, we will be happy to accommodate you. You provide your own equipment and food and we’ll provide the transportation. Our permitted areas are full of rivers and streams as well as a handfull of high mountain lakes that provide endless opportunities for fisherman, photographers and explorers. To minimize impact we provide drop camp trips to Emerald Lake, one of the largest wilderness lakes in the United States. These trips are based on the number of horses/mules used per day, plus the cost of the wrangler/packer. Advance reservation and deposit are required.
If you have a large church group, Boy Scout or Girl Scout troop or private party that is hiking and camping and would like assistance packing your equipment into the backcountry, or if you need a re-supply during your trip, give us a call and we will be delighted to help you with your logistics.
In addition to drop trips we also offer over night pack trips into the Weminuche Wilderness. You can choose to go on a favorite trip and stay in one place or we can move every day. We supply all ride and pack stock and can provide all camping equipment or you may choose to bring your own gear. You supply all of your own food. We customize these trips to accomodate your needs as much as possible and are open to the number of days you would like to camp.
